FAQ’s

Why is CompleteSleeprrr regarded as perhaps the world's most comfortable pillow?

A number of reasons, but perhaps the most conclusive is the fact that it is adjustable — so you can quite literally 'build' the pillow to suit your physique and sleep position.

Its mild therapeutic contour, with one side slightly higher than the other, ensures that the natural curvature of the spine is maintained during sleep. This means that your spine is under little or no tension, and that translates to more constant sleep patterns which means you will wake up feeling relaxed and ready for the day ahead.

The unique mushroom-shaped surface of CompleteSleeprrr also gives you additional cushioning for your head and neck, further enhancing the tension-free aspects of the pillow.

I believe there are different densities for CompleteSleeprrr — which one is more suitable to me?

In Australia, through Therapeutic Pillow International, 3 versions are available: 2 Memory versions, and the Deluxe version in conventional foam.

The Memory versions are wonderfully versatile, and suits 90% of folk. But those who require a firmer and higher pillow have the option of the Deluxe conventional foam version which also costs less.

What is Memory Foam?

It's a visco elastic material of open-cell structure whose origins go back to NASA some 30 years ago. NASA was seeking a compound to cushion astronauts against gravity forces.

Visco elastic is made up of millions of spherical shaped open cells that are temperature sensitive. In minutes your body's warmth will slightly change the characteristics of the foam in terms of 'feel', and you will feel less and less resistance to the foam. The foam will quite literally mould to your body's support and comfort needs and create a wonderful soothing feel.

What is conventional foam?

It is a urethane compound available in hundreds of different densities and softness levels. It constitutes a different chemical makeup to that of visco elastic, and doesn't contain temperature-sensitive properties. Unlike Memory, what you feel in any temperature is what you get!

How do you know when you have a high quality conventional foam pillow that will perform beautifully and stand the test of time? Give it the rub test, and if it feels dry then it is probably cheap foam and will not last. If you can feel a slight silkiness then it is fine and will do the job.

Should I have a soft or firm pillow, a high or low pillow — which is best for me?

Density (softness) is a matter of personal preference, but the criteria for any pillow should be comfort with support. CompleteSleeprrr, through its adjustability, provides both these elements.

Where the height of the pillow is concerned, one factor which is always worthy of comment is the density of your mattress. The softer your mattress is, the more you sink into it, and the lower the pillow requirement. The firmer the mattress is, the higher you are lying, and this should be compensated with by a higher pillow.

You don't want a mattress that is firm. Your body's pressure points such as shoulders, hips, and feet should be able to sink into your mattress and allow your body weight to be evenly distributed. Pressure diffusion is the key.

If you feel that your mattress is too firm, can we suggest that you look at purchasing a mattress topper in Memory foam that Therapeutic Pillow produces in Australia. These are luxurious overlays that fit under your bottom sheet and which ensure that your body pressure is spread evenly to give you a near-weightless environment.

Are both Memory foam and conventional foam CFC free, and what about allergies?

They are both CFC free, and any synthetic material, when new, contains no allergens because airborne matter such as dust mites require protein to feed upon, and new foam contains no protein (see Care and Use for further information on allergens).
